Oil Changes & Maintenance

Reviewing a digital vehicle inspection with a customer

Regular maintenance on your vehicle is the best way to ensure that every day, when you turn the key, your vehicle starts. Your routine depends on it! Maintenance is also the best way to avoid large and costly repairs. And when manufacturer recalls turn up, or you need to file a warranty claim, regular maintenance records will make sure you’re covered.

Oil Changes

Oil changes are the quickest and easiest way to help keep your engine clean and running smoothly. By changing your oil at proper time and/or mileage intervals, you reduce dirt and sludge running through the engine.

You may think that because you don’t drive much that you can go longer than three months between changing the oil. In reality, oil breaks down anyway. Short trips from home to the store or school or work actually keep your vehicle from reaching optimum temperatures, which increases condensation and breaks down your oil more quickly than long highway trips.

As the only Napa Gold shop in Lane County, we offer top of the line Napa Gold oil filters without a premium price!

Digital Vehicle Inspections

When you bring your vehicle in for an oil change, we go a few steps farther. Each time your vehicle pulls into our facility, we conduct a complimentary Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI). With a DVI, our ASE certified technicians are checking the most important safety related aspects of your vehicle, including:

  • Brakes
  • Fluids consistency
  • Tread on your tires
  • Suspension components
  • Exhaust, cabin & air filters

And of course, we’ll also look into any other concerns you may have.

Once the inspection is complete, you receive a DVI report, showing you exactly which components are in top notch shape, things that may need attention in the future, and anything that may be an immediate safety concern. Each DVI comes complete with photos so that you see what we see!

With a DVI in hand, we can answer any questions you may have and help you schedule and budget for needed repairs & maintenance. You’ll leave South Valley Auto with the peace of mind that an expert is watching out for you.
